BOW CHAIR 弓椅
The design is based on the mechanism of the bow in archery. A bow consists of a strong and elastic arch with a tensile string joining the two ends. The two surfaces of the chair are both formed by two bands of stretched low-elastic fiber crossing each other. In this way the frame of the chair is saved for a more comfortable and flexible surface. The fashion in which the fabric is intercrossed takes inspiration from the traditional garments of Han people in East Asia, in the culture of which the dress usually wraps the body in a similar way.
